Sunday, May 13th is World Cocktail Day. Somehow, I don’t believe that it’s a coincidence that it’s the same day as Mother’s Day. Therefore, I plan to celebrate my third Mother’s Day with a couple cocktails of my own.
And in honor of this very cool event, I’ve compiled a list of 10 great songs about my favorite drinks and/or the alcohol in them. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find a song about my favorite drink — Sex on the Beach. Let’s see if you can guess my favorite alcohol from my list of 10 great songs:

Gotta agree with Rick on this one. I love that song (alcohol), and I used it in one of my movies for last year’s spring break credits reel. Barenaked ladies rule, eh?
My blues band Mr VOO and the CHAIRS have a song called ‘ALCOHOL’ which I wrote in 1998…. I stumbled across this page and felt compelled to write you. Maybe we could be in your top 10 booze songs!

Jessie Colin Young, from the Youngbloods, wrote a song called Rye Whiskey. Everytime you hear it, you’re missing somebody and drinking some down. Great drinking song. Wish I knew some of those Irish drinking songs, they would be fun and sad
