If you were like me, a fan of the CBS comedy How I Met Your Mother, then you laughed hysterically at the “Slap Bet” episode. Now, you can have a memento to remember that very episode.
Glarkware is now offering Robin Sparkles Mall Tour shirts that say “Let’s Go to the Mall” with a list of Canadian Malls on the back.
If you remember the episode, Barney (Neil Patrick Harris) and Marshall (Jason Segal) find out that Robin Scherbatsky (Cobie Smulders) has a secret, one that keeps her from going to the mall. Barney, ever the pure of mind, thinks she’s a porn star while Marshall simply thinks she’s married. The two enter a slap bet over the matter.
I’m not sure what’s funnier, the etiquette of the slap bet or Robin’s secret — a pop star in Canada named Robin Sparkles that sang about going to the mall. Apparently the ’80s came to our northern neighbor a decade late. Need a laugh, check out the music video. Or watch the entire episode again.
