The Agony of Night Night Time with Children — A Parent’s Bedtime Song

Currently, my husband and I are struggling every night to get our twins down for bed.  They just don’t seem tired.

We’ve tried a bit of everything.  We have a set routine.  We tried waking them earlier in the morning, shortening their nap and increasing their play time after a nap.  Nothing sees to help with the night night saga.

But apparently, we are not alone in this struggle to get our children to bed.  This YouTube video has a great song by a father set to Pachelbel’s Cannon in D.  I totally empathize with this man.  And he nailed the saga on the nose.

His tune is the perfect Bedtime Song for parents.  Enjoy.

I am reminded of those days described in your blog. But as one gets to be my age those are not the memories I remember first. I remember the beautiful little angels sleeping in their beds, when I would check in on my daughters. They were so prescious and angelic looking. And in those sleeping few hours when I looked in on the girls, I knew I was definitely Blessed by God. I know at my age now how much stamina it takes to be a grandma and I know why God has blessed the younger folks with kids and the older folks with grandkids. In other words God doesn’t give you anything you can’t handle. And your rewards will be to remember the good parts, the best memories, and that makes it all worth while. Hang in there it gets better. I am enjoying the rewards now, I have 6 beautiful grandchildren.
